Day 4,5 and 6

9 februari 2017 - Khajuraho, India

Hi all,

Sunday February 5th

Abushek picked me up at the hotel and brought me over to the ....garden (across Sundram cinema). I was shown my room and shortly after that the Indian breakfast. All great different types of food, real spicy and so good. I can't name them all, but can recognize them when I see them.  After that Sandeep, Jaishree's brother in law took me, and my new friends Mayank and Shikhar for a Neemuch tour. When we got back I played cricket and answered all questions of nieces and nephews. I attended a ceremony wherein Jaishree and Dilip were given wedding gifts. That evening there was a party where several family members performed. The closure was a dance with the same ritmic drums. I entered the stage and danced my heart out, cheered by a lot of enthusiastic viewers.

Monday 6th

Breakfast, water, chai(tea) and coffee. Then Bharat...we started a 150 meters up the road with a band and a music car (big speakers and loud music) Dilip rode on a white horse and we danced on the rhythm. It took nearly two hours before we entered the gate. Another ceremony and the we were in. There the couple was united before going upstairs for the wedding. A priest was sitting in a "party" tent and performed the wedding ceremony. Which took 3 á 4 hours. Most impressive. Then it was time to change clothes. When l left my room Vijaishry saw me and called me corgeous. I felt good in the sherwany. The whole evening people, I did not knew, were shaking me hands or asking to make selfies with me. I think they thought I was a Bollywood star :-) I danced spontaneous and was filmed. The same when a nephew asked me to dance in front of the deejay. A crowd of people watched me. I felt on top of the world. Between all events I spent a lot of time with Shikhar and Mayank which I highly enjoyed. At ten the party was over......I had to say good by to my sherwany ........  :-( But I gained a lot of new friends.

Tuesday 7th

Packed and left to Jaishrees house. There the whole famiy was busy parking and i enjoyed batting and balling with Saksham. Finaly we left for the station. The train was in time. At Ratlam junction i saïd good by to the famiy and waaierde for my train. All went well until Jhansi. There i waited 3.5 hours for the delayed train. And 5 hours to reach Khajuraho

@Rob; Khajuraho was ok, niet bijster veel bezienswaardigheden
@Anita; haha, het is niet wat ik van mezelf dacht maar meer wat de gasten dachten! Ik heb ze een digitaal fotolijstje gegeven. Ja, was zeker leuk. En er gaat in zo' n ceremonie heel wat geld rond. En af en toe zag ik wat geld in de zak van de priester verdwijnen.
@Paul; Thnx Paul. Over maharadja's gesproken.
